University Scholarships are applied to the student's account each term, if the student meets all of the requirements. These scholarships are applied for through the Financial Aid Office. Please contact the Financial Aid Office, if you have any questions about these scholarships
Athletic and Departmental Scholarships
Athletic and Departmental Scholarships are applied to the student's account each term. If you have any questions, please contact the department through which your scholarship was awarded.
Checks created from financial aid disbursements, scholarships, and loans may be released to the student with photo id at the first of each term.
Alaska Student loans are in the form of a check issued in the student's name. The checks are located at the Student Loan Department on the first floor of Oregon Hall. These checks will be available to the student at the first of each term.
Bank loans (i.e.: CitiAssist, Wells Fargo, Keybank, etc.) can be issued in three different ways. The check can be issued in the student's name or the university's, or as a co-payee. If the loan is payable to the student, the check will be located at the Student Loan Department on the first floor of Oregon Hall. If the check is co-payee, the check is located in the Cashiers Office on first floor of Oregon Hall. If the check is payable to the university, the check will be applied to the student account.
National Merit Awards are issued in the student's name or the university's and are located in the Cashiers Office on first floor of Oregon Hall. If the student does not pick up the check, this award is applied to the student account at the end of each term.
Oregon Student Assistance Commission Awards are applied to the student's account.
The Cashiers Office monitors scholarships awarded from outside sources. Unless stipulated by the donor, all awards under $2500.00 will be applied in full when received. Please contact the Cashiers Office, if you have any questions.
Where to Send Scholarship Checks
Students receiving scholarships from sources outside the University should request that their scholarship checks be sent to:
