Union Dues/Fair Share

On your earnings statement you may see the following deductions from one of three unions: Graduate Teaching Fellows Federation, Service Employees International Union, and Graphic Communications International Union.

GTFF Dues (UUD) 2.10%
GTFF Fair Share (UUF) 1.79% (Effective Feb 2005)
SEIU Dues (UAD) 1.7% (Effective Feb 2003)
SEIU Fair Share (UAF) 1.7% (Effective Feb 2003)
SEIU Associate Dues (UAA) $10 per month
GCC Dues (UGC Plan D) Fixed rate based on weekly gross income
GCC Fair Share (UGD Plan F) Fixed rate based on weekly gross income

Note:

  • SEIU DUES and SEIU Fair Share have a $5 monthly minimum.
     
  • Cancellation or continuation of SEIU Associate Dues:  An SEIU deduction will continue for employees moving from a classified to an unclassified position unless formally cancelled by the employee.
  •  The Payroll Office must set-up a monthly $10.00 contribution for SEIU Associate Dues for employees who were union members unless formally notified by the union.   In order to stop the Associate Dues deduction, employees will need to notify SEIU in writing.    For questions, telephone the SEIU Local 503 in Salem at  (503) 364-4822 and mail or fax all written correspondence (with signature) to this office.
